About the work

Preservation of important Christian literature.

Eagles' Wings Publications began with a search, for a book from the mid 17th century, only to find that it was out of print, at least in any readable format. After reading through the difficult text, recovered from a digital copy of an old manuscript, i decided to publish it myself, and make it available, should anyone else be interested to read it.

It was though this search that I found the Quaker (so called) movement, and great work of God in the 17th century, and the wealth of written works from those men who God raised up to preach the gospel during this time.

One book soon became ten books, with more in the works, with a duty to preserve this significant material, and make it accessible to current and future generations.

The editing process for these books focuses on accuracy and readability, with the aim to preserve the original words and grammar, changes have been made to these very conservatively, only for clarity in reading and to correct errors in spelling and grammar. All scripture usage has been refined to reflect the Authorised Version.

This is considered to be a ministry and not a profit-making business. The books are currently printed at low volume, and the purchase price is to help cover the printing cost and invest into future work and marketing etc.

This project takes inspiration from the work of Giles Calvert. His publishing career spanned the 1640-1660s, including many early 'quaker' works. His shop at 'the sign of the black spread-eagle', at the west-end of pauls, in the city of London, gave the inspiration for the name Eagles' Wings Publications.

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
